Looking for a way to introduce STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) concepts to your elementary school class? iFLY offers both in-person and virtual field trips with activities and demonstrations tailored for students from grades k through 5. STEM activities for elementary school age children should be both fun and educational, and that’s what iFLY is all about!

Want to instill an interest in STEM at an early age? iFLY’s STEM program is designed to increase awareness of exciting STEM careers and demonstrate how concepts are used in the real world.

What To Expect

During in-person field trips, students will witness flight instructors interacting with objects in the wind tunnel and discuss how the size, shape and weight of an object affects its speed in the tunnel. They’ll also learn how to:

Predict, describe, and justify why objects fly at different velocities.

Understand the differences between solids and fluids.

Analyze the effects of different forces on an object.

Plan investigations and define variables in an experiment.

Measure and record data.

A New Way to Learn About STEM Enriching Virtual Experience

Our Virtual STEM program for elementary school classes is adapted to remote learning with a highly trained STEM Educator on hand to guide students through an interactive presentation of real-world STEM applications. Students will complete a grade-level appropriate project at home or in a group classroom setting that demonstrates the same principles. Students will also watch a physics demonstration and receive a flight voucher that can be redeemed at their local tunnel.
