Guests weighing between 260 and 300 pounds may require an evaluation at check-in to determine whether they can fly safely. Guests weighing more than 300 pounds cannot participate. High Flight add-ons are available only to flyers weighing 260 pounds or less.
Most iFLY locations do not have a minimum height requirement. However, iFLY Paramus and iFLY Edison require flyers to be at least 40 inches tall.
A High Flight is an add-on in which an instructor safely guides the flyer higher and faster inside the wind tunnel. Availability depends on weight and other applicable flight restrictions.
Yes. All first-time flyers must watch the preflight video to learn essential safety information and basic flying techniques.
Yes. Most guests can eat normally before flying and do not experience nausea, motion sickness, or a dropping sensation.
Yes. iFLY provides goggles designed to fit over eyeglasses.
Yes. Remove jewelry, watches, hair accessories, and anything else that could become loose in the wind tunnel. Empty your pockets before flying. Lockers are usually available, but valuable items are best left at home.
Flips and advanced tricks are reserved for experienced flyers. First-time guests may learn basic movements, such as turning or adjusting altitude, under the guidance of an instructor.
Flight suits help instructors safely guide and support flyers inside the wind tunnel.
Wear comfortable clothes and secure, lace-up athletic shoes. Pants and a collarless shirt are recommended because a flight suit will be worn over your clothing. Long hair should be secured low enough for a helmet to fit properly.
First-time flyers should plan to spend approximately 90 minutes at iFLY. This includes check-in, training, gearing up, flying, and wrapping up after the session. Completing the waiver in advance may reduce check-in time.
Guests should arrive on time, with arrival approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled reservation recommended. Sessions begin promptly, and late arrivals may not be able to fly.
Friends and family members can usually be scheduled in the same session, but first-time guests enter the wind tunnel one at a time with an instructor. Spectators can watch from the observation area.
Children can fly beginning at age three. Flyers younger than 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Most people in reasonable health and physical condition can fly. Restrictions may apply based on weight, pregnancy, hard casts or prosthetics, and certain medical conditions involving the head, neck, back, shoulders, or heart. Guests with concerns should contact their local iFLY before booking.
No. Flyers can breathe normally through their mouth or nose. The sensation is similar to putting your head outside a moving car window.
Each flight lasts 60 seconds. The total amount of flight time depends on the package purchased.
Most guests do not find it scary. There is no jumping from an aircraft and no falling sensation.
Safety is iFLY's top priority. Certified and highly trained instructors remain with guests throughout their flights.
Your hairstyle must allow the helmet to fit securely. Long hair should be tied into a low bun, with a low braided bun recommended.
Most iFLY locations are cashless and accept all major credit cards.
Most reservations can be changed or canceled with at least 48 hours' notice. Large groups, events, camps, and experienced-flyer reservations may require more notice. Gift cards and vouchers are generally nonrefundable except where required by law.
Digital gift cards and gift vouchers do not expire and do not carry fees. They can be redeemed online and at participating locations. Vouchers generally cannot be returned or exchanged for cash except where legally required.
Photos can be viewed after the session and purchased as digital downloads. Purchased media may remain available online for only a limited period after the flight.
